Abby Imrem has taught French and Spanish for 19 years at Walter Payton College Prep High School in Chicago. She has taught all levels of French, from the very beginning stage to Advanced Placement French. Throughout her career in education, Abby has also served as World Language Department Chair, French Club Sponsor, International Night Coordinator, and has directed long-standing language and cultural exchanges with sister schools in France, Morocco, and Quebec.
Abby holds a Bachelor of Arts in French Language and Literature from Colgate University in Hamilton, New York and a Master of Arts in Teaching from DePaul University. She recently added the ACTFL Level 3 Agent of Change Certification to her repertoire, serving as a leader and mentor in curriculum design for world language colleagues.
A life-long learner, Abby loves sharing her passion for French language and Francophone culture with students of all ages. Her teaching and learning philosophy emphasizes communication, combined with a healthy dose of laughter, fun and connection. À bientôt!
